Blues Rockers Steady Rollin’ set to release exclusive UK remix of stunning single You’re Mystical

The Steady Rollin’ wave continues as the El Salvadorian band continue to rock the musical boat.

Hailing from the tiny Central American Republic of El Salvador, Steady Rollin’ have successfully reached the music pages and radio waves of America, Europe and beyond.

Their most recent release, You’re Mystical, quickly became a firm fan favourite.

Grooving and authentic, the track reminded us that Steady Rollin’ are raw rock talent, abandoning studio tricks and providing pure musical prowess

You’re Mystical gets a refresh with a hugely anticipated UK-exclusive remix by top DJ and producer, Elyse Rich (due for release on 16th October).

The track is a love song tinged with the fear of rejection. Singer and guitarist Fernando Poma, explains-

“It’s a love song about a long-married couple where the husband feels a bit insecure about his wife’s love for him. He takes her to a solitary cottage in the woods. He looks at her and feels so much love that just the depth of that love makes him so scared of losing her.

At one point he asks her to take a walk with him under the stars – he wants to see if the “stars are still shining” for HIM regarding her love for him. They get back into the house and he looks at her in the kitchen and can’t do anything but “sigh”. He loves her so much that he is afraid. He finds her truly mystical and otherworldly”.

The trio that make up Steady Rollin, Benjamin Andrade on drums and backing vocals, Gerardo Pardo on bass and Fernando Poma on guitar and lead vocals, have captured the ears and hearts of audiences across the globe.

Transcending borders, their outreach goes far and wide, establishing the bluesy rockers as ones to watch.

On top of the magical You’re Mystical remix, Steady Rollin’ have a full 10 track project in the works entitled ‘Love & Loss’.

‘Love & Loss’ is set for release on strictly limited-edition vinyl just in time for Christmas.

James Day Confronts The Brexit Blunder With Single ‘Keep The Euro, Keep The Pound’

We’ve all had enough of the Brexit blunder and like most of us, Londoner James Day has got behind the nation’s exasperated cry for everyone to ‘just get on with it’! Teaming up with legendary music producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Oasis), Day has released his single ‘Keep The Euro, Keep The Pound’.

Gritty vocals, grinding rock rhythms and an extremely catchy chorus, Day has gained attention following his live performances on Westminster Bridge and outside Parliament and has acquired the following of both leave and remain activists alike.

Recorded at Scream Studios in South London, Day’s prog-rock sound resonates the likes of The Clash and Paul Weller and this raw energy screams the exacerbation in Day’s message  “see the gathering crowd, why don’t we give ’em some sound? They all got choices, they all got voices, and they can make their country’s proud.”

Rather like the situation the UK has found itself in, the track has found that by looking to successes in times-past, the route to the future becomes much clearer. What unites us is stronger than anything which divides us.

Derecho Are Set For Stardom!

With influences ranging from 1960s pop to 21st century rock via classic punk, Derecho are a Cambridge-based four piece who are looking to build on early successes in 2014.

With a name that translates from Spanish as a ‘fast moving band of severe thunderstorms’, it comes as little surprise to learn that their sound is an impactful blend of rock genres that has seen them earn local and national chart success on Reverb Nation. Having regularly hit number 1 in the local charts on the site, as well as making a mark in the top 100 nationally, Derecho are looking to expand on that success heading into the New Year.

As well as online success, the band have earned plaudits with their live show, including main stage slots at The Willow Festival in Peterborough and gigs at the 100 Club in London. Their female fronted dynamic sees primary songwriter Jo Ash take centre stage, lending her poetry and words to the band’s powerful rock conversions.

Behind her, drummer Mike Ellis is a professional drummer and drum tech who has worked with several recognisable names over the years such as Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix), Ash Soan (Adele, Billy Idol). The album line-up is completed with the melodic guitar of Mike Wheatley and the intricate bass lines of Marc Zyngier, all coming together to create a versatile set of track.

Edinburgh Rock Singer Dmarco is set for stardom

dazzzzAfter spending his childhood hanging out backstage with famous musicians and harbouring an ever-growing lust for music, Daryl ‘Dmarco’ is now ready for the spotlight.

As a completely new artist, with a brand new album that has yet to be released, UK rock singer Daryl Dmarco, who is no stranger to the music industry, has been brushing shoulders with celebrities for years. He has grown up a product of his surroundings and there is no doubt that the music in his blood has been heavily influenced by his past. He can boast of an impressive childhood, his father owned three separate concert halls by the time Daryl was 15 in Edinburgh and Glasgow, which over the years, have been home to literally hundreds of the biggest selling artists in the world as they pass through on tour. Not many teenagers can say that they have partied backstage with Justin Timberlake and the Black Eyed Peas or simply hanging out pre concert with Slash playing guitar, one of the most influential guitarists of all time. At a point in his childhood, Dmarco’s mother’s partner was Jo Callis, the songwriter and multi instrumentalist from supergroup ‘The Human League’. From the young age of 8, Daryl would sit outside Jo’s room in the evenings, press his ear to the door and listen to him crafting new songs on his guitar whilst trying to avoid getting caught by his mother for being out of bed.

The single ‘Hollywood Crush’, the album’s title name, has got ‘cult smash’ oozing out of it’s pores. It is a revolutionary, ‘middle-finger’ up to the Hollywood film industry. It is the story of the underdog. How many youngsters ever get the chance to meet the actor/actress they have a crush on in the flesh and for that person to even know that they exist? Yet ironically, it is this fantasy that Hollwood has been selling for years. Dmarco doesn’t believe in fairytales, he does though believe in the impossible dream. The album in its entirety conveys the bitter after taste of emotions that are tainted by the destructive nature of love – the positive mixed with the melancholy. Dmarco keeps it simple when talking about complex emotions, enabling his audience to relate to the songs the first time they hear them.

Two tracks off of the album were recorded in the same studio where the legendary David Bowie recorded his album ‘Heroes’ in Berlin, where he worked with his producer and Scottish tenor, Martin Aelred. One of the songs from the album, ‘All I Need’, was recorded in the stairwell of this colossal old wartime building. Dmarco demanded he sing the vocal in the stairwell, it took 8 people to run 170 metres of cable, eventually reaching the stairwell from the studio and only then was the vocal recorded.

It’s not just Dmarco’s musical life that has been riddled with curiosity and adventure. He has travelled thousands of miles around the world, however, on his most recent journey, when he arrived at Nepal he was refused entry to Tibet and detained by the Chinese government officials, he was eventually released after three weeks. His reason for being refused is still unknown.

A key feature in Dmarco’s individuality as an artist, is his ingenuity. He decided that having complete control over the creative process of his music was a crucial aspect for his development as an artist. He set out perfecting the art of film making, in total putting in excess of 1000 hours so that he can create a music video for every song he releases. In a present day world, where musical creativity has became a scarcity, fate has had its hand forced to stage a credible fight back, and it has inspired Dmarco to produce rock music with a soulful edge, that is universally engaging and exhilarating.

Hollywood Crush is due for release in March 2014, alongside Dmarco’s first tour in Japan.
