Truly immersive and creating a captivating soundscape, Lexxicon is an artist that refuses to be limited to one style. Showcasing his Bashment, Dancehall, Tropical R&B and Grime influences, “Bashment SZN” is the definition of cool.
A musician with layers of personality buried within his soul, the intense energy within the first single from ‘Bashment SZN’ is out of this world. Titled ‘Pon Di Floor’ – this is the type of track that makes listeners be even more excited for when the clubs re-open. Can you imagine this dropping when you’re on the floor?!
Talking about the EP, Lexxicon mentions, “As a dancehall music lover, I always wanted to create a small project that really reflected those that I looked up to and this EP is that project. You won’t be able to listen without moving, grooving and wishing you could catch a bubble.”
“Pon Di Floor” is the perfect first track from the forthcoming EP, and gives insight to an incredible release ahead.
Singer-songwriter and producer Jozem returns to the airwaves with experimental-soul number ‘Dreams’. Utterly golden and already racking nearly 3,000 streams on Spotify alone since it’s release at the beginning of February, “Dreams” is accompanie by an eye-catching music shot and directed by Ayo Tsalithaba.
Talking about the release, Jozem mentions, “‘Dreams’ is a meditation, a prayer and a projection of where I want to be in life, a guiding compass of sorts. The song is really all about cutting out those naysayers, the internal and external voices of self-doubt that lead you to stall or try to block you from realizing your goals.
‘Dreams’ is about recognizing and having the strength to do away with the toxic influences in your life that reap negativity and self-doubt, repurposing that toxicity and using it as fuel to propel oneself further. Ultimately, it’s about remaining steadfast, knowing that you are on the right path, that the journey is as important and sometimes even more meaningful than the destination.”
Mysterious and unlike anything else you hear nowadays, ‘Dreams’ is completely innovative and irresistible. If this track was served on a table, it would be via a silver platter. If you’re into artists such as FKA Twigs and even the remarkable work of the late, great PRINCE, Jozem will be right up your street.

A mystical journey through time travel, the cosmos, outer space and dimensions behind our own, any track off the album could make for a perfect soundtrack to an episode of The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror.

Released February 5th, ‘Say My Name‘ may have only been out for a short amount of time, but it’s certainly turning heads within the electro-pop world. Best described as innovative and easily able to become the next big thing in the industry, Leif Coffield has already gained support from the likes of CLASH, national BBC Radio and many sites across the web.
‘Say My Name‘ features electronic instrumentations and cutting lyricism. Exploring themes like tackling the feeling of being pressured in a relationship and the yearning to be set free again, the track conveys a mantra of self discovery and assurance.
On creating music and influences, Leif explains: “I try in each of my songs for them to have one unique element, or one distinguishing factor that sounds out of the ordinary and that separates it from the norm. I take a lot of inspiration from artists that endeavour to break the mould and refrain from operating within the confines of the mainstream...
…Artists like Flume, FINNEAS, Kanye West, Bon Iver push the boundaries of the creative process. I would describe my music as if hip hop impregnated acoustic and gave birth to a baby that was raised in an electronic family. I always try to evoke emotion in the song whether it be through the instrumentation or accompanying vocal melody and lyrics.”
‘Say My Name‘ is out now, and deserves your ears to taste on.
