Multi-talented Sira Garcias releases captivating album to help soothe the soul

The Tree of Life and the Strength of Moving On, PT.2‘ may have took 13 years to make but, as the saying goes, better late than never. An album that’s destined to make your yoga or chilled playlists, the captivating album aims to help listeners meditate and relax – something the globe certainly needs to do more of at the moment. Multi-talented Sira Garcias ties together perfectly her love for meditation and music, and uses music as a form of escapism.

Blending instrumental soundscapes that will clear your mind with their breathtaking nature, ‘The Tree of Life and the Strength of Moving On Pt 2’ captures Sira’s vision perfectly. Allowing listeners to not only enjoy the music but to use it as a form of therapy too, Sira had this to say: “I don’t care about superficial smiles, I care about happiness. I don’t care about material fame, I care about spiritual matters. I don’t care about those who try to create an artist with an empty heart, I care about lineage and pure talented artists with strong goals. I don’t care about robots, I care about dreamers… If I have the chance to change something for good, I will put all my positive energy into it.”

This is ‘The One’ track you need in your life!

Singer-songwriter Abraham Trai releases debut single ‘The One‘, and it’s super special. A debut single always needs to stand out from the crowd, especially the oversaturated music industry today, and Abraham’s debut lives up to any expectations you might have had. Inspired by the likes of soulful singers such as Adele, Sam Smith and Lewis Capaldi, Abraham Trai is armed with a distinctive vocal ability and could easily be the next big thing in the soul genre.

Written with Louisa Glanville, ‘The One’ showcases Abraham’s delicate vocals with an intricate piano line. Capturing the heartbreak of losing a loved one, this sadly relatable single is breathtaking. Writing songs about his personal experiences in life, ‘The One’ is taken from his forthcoming album, expected in 2022.

You Will Just Fall for Victoria, as Jessica Woos Us With Arthur’s Legends

We are great fans of the harp, an instrument that literally speaks to those who hear it , we also love the magical words of King Arthur , so when the guys at QuiteGreat introduced us to Jessica Victoria whose music covers both , we were so excited and we were not disappointed.

Jessica Victoria holds a doctorate in musical arts from The Catholic University of America, a Master of Music in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music and bachelors’ degrees in music and foreign languages from the University of New Mexico, where she graduated summa cum laude. In addition to a thriving performance career, Victoria directs the voice track of the Sacred Music Program at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Collaborating artists on Songs of the Summer Realm include such well-known Scottish musicians as Lorne MacDougall of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and the Tannahill Weavers; Mary Ann Kennedy; Euan Stevenson; Wendy Weatherby and Euan Burton. Jessica recorded the album at Watercolour Music in the Scottish Highlands. Born blind, her condition does not hold her back in any way, composing using Braille music and transcription and enjoying horse riding, ballroom dancing, baking and swimming in the sea (not necessarily all at the same time!)

So what about the Arthurian side of things you ask , well let me tell you Dr. Jessica Victoria has performed for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and with orchestras in the United States, Europe and South America, picking up many awards for her vocal performances along the way, but this still doesn’t reflect the sheer scale of her musical output. With ancestral links to Celtic regions around the world, Jessica’s fascination with both the music and literature from these areas permeates her music, with lyrics (both traditional texts and her own contributions) accentuating the strong female characters in Arthurian legend, and extoling the virtues of leaders of integrity who often seem so missing from the present day.

Here are some music links for you to enjoy and don’t forget , Album Released 1st May, Lead Track: “Love Charm” Out Now’ “Some Songs Are for Crying” Out Now, “Wayfaring Stranger” Out Now.

Composer, Mustafa Khetty is Appealing to Musicians Worldwide to Help Keep Classical Music Alive in the Time of COVID-19.

Orchestras by their very nature see large groups of people playing instruments all in close proximity, something which obviously can’t happen with COVID-19. Mustafa Khetty has now offered a solution to classical musicians who are out of work, appealing especially to musicians in those areas most affected, including Italy and Iran. With many people now owning recording software at home, Mustafa is creating his classical works whilst avoiding the need for direct human contact and allowing musicians to record their individual pieces in the comfort of their own home.

Are you a musician able to help Mustafa Khetty?  Contact him by email here:

submit@mustafakhetty.com

Mustafa is reaching out to classical musicians wherever they are located in isolation, giving them the separated audio tracks along with the written music for each instrument and asking them to record their part for the track, before he then puts them all together in production, forming the sound of a full orchestra. Mustafa is now also requesting that classical musicians who are out of work contact him if they would like to get involved with the project:

Listen to Solace performed Using Synthesised Instruments here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq-E3VpwlOI

Mustafa explains:

“Solace for Humanity is an experiment to invite instrumentalists and vocalists to re-record parts as well as play individual parts with improvisations from their home studios. Ideas would be incorporated into a longer overture. It’s about exchange, collaboration, co-creation and sharing. Lockdown isn’t lockout, our lives are in our heads, we live in thought. Creativity, idea generation, imagination is the hallmark of our being. The coronavirus has made us truly digital natives cruising in uncharted terrain, realigning our work and engagements”.

Solace is a musical journey following the rapid devastation caused by a single virus that has crippled the world with over 3 billion in lock-down and the affected gasping for breath. The first part depicts the dark and sombre warning of impending doom. The middle section, the tragedy of sickness, despair, helplessness, ravage, death and solitary burial. The finale is the floating glimmer of hope countered by distress, uncertainty, sadness and lament. The faint hope of recovery can so easily be shattered.

Review: Belle Chen Live-A Beautifully Unique Experience

Last night I attended Belle Chen’s performance at the Senate House in London, and I was truly amazed.
Before I go into all of the details that bring the talent and skill that Belle possesses to light, I have to say that this was an enjoyable and interesting event.
As part of the Bloomsbury Festival in London, Belle Chen delivered new and fresh tools to give her performance meaning and relevancy. The use of sound effects, and body movement were key to bringing the overall show together, with accompaniment from interpretive dancer Anastasia Kostner, moving with the mood of the music.
Telling a story of Paris and a taking the audience on a journey through the city of Paris, Belle Chen captured the chaos and emotion, as well as soft, relaxed and quaint surrounding of the French city. Belle Chen’s delicate touch shined through as a beautiful addition, however, the inclusion of a loop pedal, recording rhythms played on the piano, and other accompanying tools and tricks were brand new to my eyes, giving her unique style.
During the performance there were very few times that she would actually speak, however when she did, the words she did say resonated with me deeply. My Favourite quote being “I was told that if you ever missed someone, then you should look to the moon, because the person you miss could be looking at the same moon”
With her brand new album ‘Mademoiselle’ recently coming out, this was a great event to support its release.
Overall, this was a classy, emotional and extremely well-arranged show, that had meaning and purpose.

Roger Rudenstein's Operatic Epic

Fancy losing yourself for two and a half hours of classical literature and top-notch music…all at the same time?

Introducing Roger Rudenstein, already a celebrated name in America with thousands of Soundcloud streams to his name as well as plaudits from the likes of The New York Times. Roger has an impressive arsenal of work already under his belt, veering from his sensitive take on the devastation AIDS has brought to family’s lives to biting satire at the expense of Presidents past (George W. Bush) and present (you-know-who).
He is now introducing himself to European audiences by reinvigorating an already hugely popular European work in a different discipline – James Joyce’s epic tale of a very extraordinary day in the life of an early 20th Century Dubliner.

M3staken's experimental concept album 'Apex'

https://soundcloud.com/m3staken/sets/apex
Upcoming artist and music producer M3staken (M3) releases his new soundtrack album titled ‘Apex’. The 8-track collection of instrumental hip-hop features original productions with an experimental twist.
Born and raised in South Carolina, M3 made ‘Apex’ as an attempt to create a unique fusion of classical, hip-hop and electronic styles. It’s an ambitious piece of work for a young producer but he states that “as a primarily hip-hop based artist, it was important for me to emphasise the amount of musicality there is in hip-hop, while also using a mix of classical styles and modern techniques”.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Joey Bada$$, FKA Twigs and Jamie xx, M3’s unique style fuses classical, hip-hop and electronic styles.
M3staken’s classical sound contrasting with the hip-hop beats comes from unique techniques such as using live classical pianos rather than samples, escaping the hip-hop cliché. Consequently, there is an authenticity to his music that sets M3 apart from the crowd.
Definitely worth a listen for those ambitious listeners out there who enjoy something that pushes the boundaries!
